About the Role

Design and run the services that power our client products — APIs, background jobs, integrations, and the data layer beneath them. You care about correctness, observability, and boring reliability, and you sleep well because your services do too.

Key Responsibilities

API & Service Development

  • Design and build REST APIs and background services in Node.js and TypeScript.

  • Integrate third-party services — payments, messaging, CRMs, and AI APIs.

  • Implement authentication, authorization, and API security correctly, not as an afterthought.

Data & Persistence

  • Model data in PostgreSQL and keep queries fast as products grow.

  • Design migrations and schema changes that ship safely without downtime.

  • Tune indexes and queries when profiling reveals bottlenecks.

Reliability & Operations

  • Add logging, metrics, and alerts so problems surface before clients notice.

  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.

  • Deploy and operate services on AWS alongside the DevOps team.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of backend development, primarily in Node.js.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational schema design.

  • Solid grasp of authentication, authorization, and API security basics.

  • Experience debugging production issues with logs and metrics.

  • Comfort working in an agile team with weekly releases.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with NestJS, Prisma, or message queues (SQS, RabbitMQ).

  • Exposure to Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Interest in integrating LLM APIs into backend workflows.
