QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Build the automation that lets us ship weekly without fear. You will own test strategy across client projects — E2E suites, API tests, and the CI gates that keep regressions out of production. You have a tester’s instinct for edge cases and a developer’s discipline in code.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation

  • Design and maintain E2E test suites in Playwright across web applications.

  • Build API-level test coverage for critical backend flows.

  • Keep suites fast, stable, and readable so the team actually trusts them.

Strategy & Coverage

  • Define test strategy per project — what to automate, what to test manually, and why.

  • Identify high-risk areas and prioritize coverage where it matters most.

  • Reproduce, document, and triage bugs together with developers.

Quality Ops & CI

  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD so every release is gated on green.

  • Track quality metrics and drive flaky-test rates toward zero.

  • Champion quality practices across the engineering team.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years in QA with at least 1 year writing automation code.

  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium (Playwright preferred).

  • Experience testing REST APIs with tools like Postman or supertest.

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).

  • A tester’s instinct for edge cases and a developer’s discipline in code.

Nice to Have

  • Performance or load-testing experience (k6, JMeter).

  • Experience testing AI features where outputs are non-deterministic.

  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
